Hi there,
I am Amit Karny, an Israeli animator and a graduate of the Sapir Academic College with a BFA in Animation. My main focus is 3D animation, particularly lighting, rendering, and character animation, and I am proficient in software such as Maya, Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects. I also work with scripting in MEL and rendering engines like MentalRay and Arnold. Over the years, I have created several animated works, including Margins – Open Wound (2018) and Dark Pieces (2022), a seven-minute short film that I wrote, directed, and edited. Dark Pieces explores the impact of a mother’s depression on her relationship with her son and was screened internationally, including at the Salford Festival of Short Film in the UK. My passion lies in bringing complex emotions and human experiences to life through the art of animation.
